Webinar Description:
Mark Gernes will discuss salt tolerance of wetland plants in Minnesota. There are very few field based investigations of salt tolerance among freshwater wetland plants. This month's forum will present findings from Minnesota wetland field data regarding potential stress thresholds for many common wetland plants. Salt stressors including chloride, sulfate and specific conductance will be discussed. You may be surprised by some of your favorite plants on or not on the list.

An overview of the MPCA of the Section 401 Water Quality Certification will also be presented.

Speakers: Mark Gernes and Jen Oknich, MPCA

MPWCP Credits:  1.5 Hours online (pending)
